WiTilt password reset?

Hi,

According to the BlueRadios AT command summary it should be possible to

reset the passcode for a WiTilt 2.5 for pairing by putting the radio modem into

command mode by issuing an escape sequence “+++”. I’ve been able to

do this with a BlueSmirf module by sending the escape sequence via the

microcontroller UART, but BlueRadios documentation says this should also

be possible via the Bluetooth link and I (and others on the web) have found

it is not. I suspect this might be because the WiTilt responds to every

character you enter by redrawing the configuration menu. Has anyone

been able to reset a WiTilt passcode via the Bluetooth link? This would be

much preferable to having to reprogram the WiTilt microcontroller or hacking

a serial cable to the radio. The passcode needs to be changed because

all Nokia phones/pda’s only allow numeric passcodes. The same is true

of all recent versions of Mac OSX. In the future, it would be useful if

SparkFun added an option to the configuration menu to change the passcode

or set it to a numeric code to start with. The Bluetooth standard says

letters are allowed for passcodes but major manufacturers are not in

compliance.

Looks like changing the WiTilt passcode can only be done by writing some code for

the microcontroller. Where can I find the WiTilt source code so I can restore it once

I’ve run my own program? I’ve found the BLoaderScreamer info and the source

code on the Roomba page, which is derived from the WiTilt source, but can’t find the

original WiTilt source code. There is some code here but it doesn’t look up to date

for Witilt v2.5:
