X20P 5V Out

Hello,

I am trying to replace some F9P boards with X20P boards. I am using the 5V out pin on the F9P to power a telemetry radio for RTK, but that power option doesn’t exist on the X20P. Is it possible to set the VSEL jumper on the back of the X20P to 5V and use the BlueSMiRF VSEL through hole to get the power I need?

Thanks,

Terry

Are you using a V2 bluesmirf? It can run @ 3.3v SparkFun BlueSMiRF v2 - SparkFun Electronics

How is power being delivered to the unit(s)?

I just want a 5V output from the X20P board. I am using the 5V out on the F9P, and I am trying to find a way to get a 5V out on the X20P. I thought the method I listed previously might work, but I wanted to check before doing anything.

Hi Terry (@TRM ),

Assuming we are talking about the “SparkFun Allband GNSS RTK Breakout - ZED-X20P (Qwiic) GPS-28871”, then yes, you could power your telemetry radio that way. You could also buy the cable linked below and connect your radio using that. Just make sure you follow the silkscreen labels when connecting up: G is GND, R is RX (in), T is TX (out), V is VSEL.

I hope this helps,
Paul
