Hey,

I am using XBee 2 series chip,and i want to configure it as cordinator mode under API configuration,as same as the remote xbee chip as an end device mode by XCtu -soft ware,but when i am configuiring it as cordinator mode under API mode,error message appear…

"Getting modem type…OK

Programming modem…Lost communication with modem

Write Parameters…Failed|"

pls help me,very urgent

What are you using as the XBee to PC adapter?

Does the adapter use the CTS & RTS lines?

Does the XBee respond properly to X-CTU Test/Query?

Have you read the links found in threads on this forum on using and configuring XBees?

Note that X-CTU has to be aware of how to talk to the XBee. When you first start X-CTU, on the PC Settings tab about halfway down, you need to either enable API or not, to agree with how the XBee is configured. If you then use X-CTU to change from API mode to AT mode or vise-versa, then X-CTU will not be able to communicate to the XBee until you tell it you changed modes.

Solder a wire from the RESET pin on the XBee connector on the Explorer board to a switch then solder a wire from the other side of the switch to ground.
