I am doing Zigbee related wireless communication project as my final project.so I need some help from you.

I want to create a zigbee net work.I am using Xbee 2 series chips from digi international.i want to configure first one is as coordinator mode.and other one is as end device mode.using XCtu Software.

my modem type is ic 4214A xbee 2,(XB24-B) Firmware version is 1120,when I configure it as coordinator mode i can see a message

" Getting modem type…OK

Programming modem…OK

No AT parameters to set

Write Parameters…Complete"

I use API enable.

my xbee chip is connect to my lap top usb port with aid of xbee usb explorer.

remote xbee is powered on with arduino micro controller board.i powered arduino board from its usb port(battery power) and mount xbee chip to the explorer regulated board.

that remote xbee chip i want to configure as end device mode.

when i try to configure it i see an error unableto open comport.pls help me…very urgent…

confirming… You want to do ZigBee mesh networking versus a simpler non-ZigBee star topology?

There’s an XBee tutuorial document on this web site if you haven’t seen it.

i want to create a network with cordinator and end device,once coordinator send data packects remote xbee must receeive them,and send message to ardunio board which is connect remote xbee.

Series 2 use ZigBee - full/complex mesh routing, whereas what you describe is a star network, initially with just two nodes.

ZigBee is required on Series 2; not so Series 1.

ZieBee is all about complex mesh networks.

I can’t assist you with Series 2; I know only the simpler Series 1.
