Xbee series 2 and pushbutton

I have purchased xbee series 2 and have successfully done the range test by setting the DH and the DL. However I need to send two push button signals without using a micro. What parameters do I set in the XCTU to allow this to happen?

I’ll assume your Series 2 XBees are running ZigBee firmware version 2x41 or 2x64. Do download and read the document #90000976 and look up the commands I list below in chapter 10.

Under the Modem Configuration tab read the Modem Parameters and modify the following:

Set the pins with the buttons to digital input (Dx1).

Enable the pull-ups on the used inputs (PRxxxx).

Then enable the Digital IO change detect for (ICxx).

Write the new parameters so they will be there after a power down.

That should do it.
