I ordered 8 XM125 breakout boards and have been able to successfully get 7 out of the 8 working via I2C. All troubleshooting and correct firmware and wiring, one sensor I ordered seems to act like I2C circuit is not working on this one. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Can you share a photo of the soldering/connections on the non-working board? Are you using qwiic?
Yes I am using qwiic. It’s responding over USB just fine. The I2C circuit specifically seems damaged on this board. I will note, I had a pull-up resistor problem**.** With sensors all connected, 8 boards had their pull-up resistors active, creating too strong a pull on SDA and SCL. I cut a trace through all the I2C pads to get them all working. This one sensor seems to be having issues though
Does trying the other qwiic port change anything?
Can you share a close photo of the troubled board?
Gotcha - I also suspect some hardware failure at this point, was looking for any obvious defects in manufacture/soldering but don’t see much…Was it purchased from us? If so head over to Return Policy - SparkFun Electronics (contact vendor if purchased elsewhere) and we’ll get ya squared away
