XTend 900 remote configuration?

Hi All–

I’ve been playing with a pair of XTend 900 radios. I am able to configure the radio using the AT commands, but my question is this: Can I configure the “other” radio remotely through the base station radio?

What I’d like to do is use these radios to transmit GPS data from a remote location. If possible, I would like to keep the remote unit as simple as possible. If I can configure it remotely, configuration could be carried out from the base station, instead of using an onboard micro.

I’ve looked through the datasheet/documentation, but I’m getting the impression this can’t be done. Can anyone comment on this? Thanks!

I don’t think this can be done with standard firmware.

probably by design - security issue.

Good point, actually… I suppose it could just as easily be someone else’s radio that I am reconfiguring. Thanks!
