Hiya,
I’ve made my first little pcb that has a few 0.1" headers (SIL) scattered about its real estate - what’s the most popular 0.1" female connector to mate with the headers ‘wire to board’ ? I’m overwhelmed by the choice…I just want a simple header …either crimp or solder (cheapest wins!)
Ta,
Pesky.
I use Molex KK headers and connectors. The crimp tool is quite cheap.

I use those, at 4p each can’t go wrong. Easily crimped with normal nose pliers no need for the £30 tool.
Many thanks guys…alas, .the Molex KK headers aren’t available in SMT, but those others you’ve linked me to Luke look perfect!
I use those, as well. With care I can use the same £15 crimp tool that I use for the Molex terminals. It looks the same as that tool that Farnell sells.
