I see in the new products section https://www.sparkfun.com/products/21330 which looks like the original, 1 core RPI Zero, but shown as a new product with a price of $10.00. It was originally $5.00 but was always hard to find and limited to 1 per customer.
Does the new SKU mean it is being relaunched, or what? Will there actually be units in stock this time? WIll there be the same 1 per person limit? Is it really the old design with the ARM6(?) architecture, or is it a re-do? I’m guessing that they won’t bring back the Zero W single core wireless version, since the Zero W 2 will presumably take over that role.
The single core Zero has its attractions because of lower power consumption than the quad core version, but it would be nice to have an architecture update for software compatibility with newer Pi’s.
Anyone know what is going on?
