The docs for the OLED display (the nokia knock-off, I think) seems to suggest it’s got an on-board boost converter (on the driver IC mounted to the flex circuit).
But the carrier board provided by SparkFun has a boost converter on it, too, and that’s what I’m currently using to drive the display.
I’m wondering, do I need to provide the external 12 V at all? What’s the on-board boost converter for?
