3D models

Hello All,

Good to be here, and I hope everyone is doing well.

My question relates to 3D models of breakout boards with the components on them, not just the PCB.

Forgive me if this is not the correct place to post this topic, but I searched and couldn’t really find anything that answered my question.

I am looking for 3D CAD models, to be able to be used in software such as SolidWorks, Pro-E, MDs Max, Rhino etc.

I do believe there are some 3D models on the SparkFun website, but not for the breakout boards I am looking for.

Also, there seems to be a repository on GitHub of 3D models, but I cannot find out how to firstly tell if they are in fact 3D CAD models, and secondly, how to download them.

I am after the 3D CAD models for the following breakout boards:

  • VEML6075

  • Si7021

Many thanks for your support.

Regards,

Clive

Hi Clive.

Unfortunately we do not have 3D models for either of those breakouts. :frowning:

Thanks for the quick reply!

In that case, would you please be able to help me locate the board mechanical dimensional drawing that will tell me the locations of each component, holes, diameters etc?

I may have to model it myself.

Thanks and regards,

Clive

For each of the boards, there are Eagle files available (select the documents tab and then download the Eagle files zip file). It looks like you can export dxf directly from Eagle, and a quick Google search for “eagle to step” shows a number of ways to generate step files if you prefer.

Thanks for your reply Mike.

Forgive the delayed reply.

Cheers.
