CAD file request for SparkFun GPS Breakout - NEO-M9N, SMA (Qwiic)

Hello,

I am working on a custom enclosure utilizing the product “SparkFun GPS Breakout - NEO-M9N, SMA (Qwiic)”. I would like a 3D CAD (STEP) File of the board if possible.

Thanks,

Kevin

We make the brd and sch files available https://cdn.sparkfun.com/assets/3/e/3/b … 9N_SMA.zip; you can load the brd in Eagle and export as STL

Hello, I am unable to use Autodesk eagle to load the board. I have attempted to load the brd file using solidworks but i need the associated IDF library file inorder to properly import the file. Do you have the IDF library file associated with the brd file? If not, would it be possible to send an email with the stl or other 3d model type of the board? If both of these options are not available can you please send me the dimensions for the board? Any 2d drawings/schematics showing the outer dimensions and hole locations would be very useful.

Thanks,

Kevin

Hello, I would very much like to 3D print a case for the SparkFun NEO-M9N SMA (GPS-17285), if you have figured that out and are able to share. I don’t have Autodesk or Solidedge or anything like that. I can just print STL files.

Thanks,
Frank

Autodesk Eagle is free; DL it and export files https://cdn.sparkfun.com/assets/3/e/3/b/f/SparkFun_GPS_NEO_M9N_SMA.zip

Bummer, Eagle CAD isn’t free anymore - AutoDesk pulled the ole bait and switch.

oh, it looks there is still a free version that’s so limited it’s not really useful.

Download EAGLE | Free Download | Autodesk.

It does seem to open the files but the output is all messed up.

I’m curious, why not just include the 3D model in the design files or even on the website like other manufacturers?

That is precisely where they had been coming from (exported from Eagle)…we don’t design 3D files for the boards, we design the board’s circuitry and BOM and then Eagle used to export the PCB and those component sizes/etc into STL/STEP, but it looks like they are phasing it out

The new plan AFAIK is for a similar situation using KiCAD…shame about eagle :-/
