7-Segment Red LED datasheet incorrect

Hey,

I’m curious as to whether I have different 7-segment or the datasheet is incorrect. I bought a http://www.sparkfun.com/commerce/produc … ts_id=8546# and it has the same markings on it as shown in on the sparkfun website, however the LED pinout is different then described in the datasheet.

The actual pinout is:

1 - E

2 - D

3 - Anode

4 - C

5 - RDP

6 - B

7 - A

8 - Anode

9 - F

10 - G

Anybody else notice this? The datasheet says the anodes are 5 and 10 which is definitely not the case.

Pins 3 and 8 are often used as the common pins on the Kingbright LED displays I’ve used. Perhaps that manufacturer has changed them to make them compatible with the better-known Kingbright ones.
