ADS1015 module added to OLA logger but not detected on Qwiic bus

I recently added an ADS1015 Qwiic board to my OLA logger but its not showing as a menu item when I select option 6) Detect/Configure attached devices. I just get a short menu with a few items such as setting the serial data rate 100k or 400k and pull up resistor options. The ADS1015 just has an illuminated green LED showing. I’m thinking is it not a genuine Qwiic board. Its connected using a genuine 4 wire short JST to JST link cable not via a mux breakout board
can anyone advise please?

Hi John (@John_Stokes ),

Please check your OLA is running the latest firmware. We added support for the ADS1015 at version 2.5.

I hope this helps,
Paul

Hi Paul.

The OLA loggers I have were purchased in June and July this year from genuine UK retailers so I assumed they would have relatively recent firmware builds but I guess they may have been on the shelf for some time before I placed my order. So yes I may be running a firmware version that preceeds version 2.6.

Is it possible to identify which version a logger firmware I havd now ??

okay I managed to download the GUI to upload latest firmware to the logger but I cannot locate the latest firmware on GITHUB. Where is it. I find GITHUB so confusing

Hi John,

Please see the links below. The file you need is OpenLog_Artemis-V10-v210.bin

Best wishes,
Paul

Thanks Paul. I’ve got that bin file now downloaded so hopefully I can upload to the logger

Kind regards,

John

Well done Paul. It was the firmware that was not in date. Refreshing to the latest solved the detection of my ADS1015 Qwic compliant board.

Cheers

John
