Again, Lassen iQ : How to get it up and run ?

I’ve purchased one set Lassen iQ Datalogger.

I received it very fast - thanks.

The package seem to be in perfect condition.

But without manual at all.

Even you can find them on the website, I still think it’s best if you can include a basic manual to assemble the package.

Ok.

After I received it, I put them all in together,

put the battery, and turn it on.

The power led (red) on.

The stat0 and stat1 blink fast and continuously.

After 10 minutes, I think something went wrong.

I checked the manual again.

I says I probably have to reformat my SD card.

Ok, I did it again, with FAT16.

Then, I put the SD back to the Lassen iQ, and turn it back on.

Same thing happen again.

The stat0 and stat1 blink fast and continuously,

even after 30 minutes on an open air area.

I’m sure that I have put the GPS module and the antenna on the correct position.

The small battery is also installed.

Someone can help me to figure this out ?

I don’t know whether this topic is already disscussed or not.

elang

Is there somebody from sparkfun watching this forum ?

I have sent email to spark@sparkfun.com twice,

but no response.

Elang

Hi, we do watch the forum.

I just don’t know a solution right away, so I haven’t answered.

We only have one email from you, and we got it yesterday after closing hours. I’m sure the guy that handles that email box will be getting back to you fairly soon.

Cheers,

Glad to hear that.

Hopefully they can give me a solution soon.

Elang.

Hello elang,

It sounds like the logger is not recognizing the SD card. If you take the card out and power it up, does it look the same? How big is the SD card? I would stick with 512MB or smaller.

Best regards,

Greg
