arduino powered mp3 player using vs1053

Hi guys iam building an mp3 player using the vs1053 decorder module i bought from sparkfun and an arduino uno and an lcd ive finished the project but its only playing nine songs.

my question is ;

1.is it a problem of the shield am using or a problem with arduino ram, should i add more external ram?

  1. is samone here familiar with vlsi audio decorder chips if it is a limitation with the

the software itself

attached are the library i used and the code for the player
SD Card.zip (7.11 KB)

Mp3Guay.zip (2.72 KB)

AGMp3.zip (3.56 KB)

It might depend on the size of your files - It has “Up to 96KiB RAM for user code and data”

If it is because of the arduino, perhaps try switching to a version with more RAM, like the https://www.sparkfun.com/products/11061 , or a standalone-style shield made for these types of projects, like https://www.sparkfun.com/products/13720 or https://www.sparkfun.com/products/12660
