Arduino with the LTE card (CAT M1/NB-IoT Shield - SARA-R4) and OpenAirInterface testbed

Hello,

I am trying to use an Arduino board to interface with the LTE card (SparkFun LTE CAT M1/NB-IoT Shield - SARA-R4).

Both products were bought from Sparkfun. I am having difficulty in catching the LTE signal coming from my testbed (using open air interface). Following the detailed procedure (found in your website) to connect to an LTE network, I am only able to see standard operator networks (see image attachment).

Can it depend on the use of the embedded LTE antenna (instead of a more powerful external one) or is there any other known problems with the use of OAI?

Can an actual phone see your testbed network? I’d start there to see if you’re actually creating a network to be found.
