Hello,

I am having trouble with the SparkFun LTE CAT M1/NB-IoT Shield - SARA-R4. I have run the 00_Register_Operator example code, and the only output I get is:
Initializing the LTE Shield…
…this may take ~25 seconds if the shield is off.
…it may take ~5 seconds if it just turned on.

And that’s it. I have waited several minutes, but nothing else happens. I have checked all my wiring with a multimeter, so I know it’s not bad jumper cables or soldering. I know the Arduino works because I have been able to use it with the GPS breakout board I also bought. I have also tired using a different laptop, and running the Serial_Passthrough code, which gave me no ouput in the Serial Monitor. I am on 9600 baud, and changed the APN to hologram.

I have tried holding down the power button to make sure it is on, and have tried the reset button.

I am worried I have received a faulty board. Let me know what can be done.

Ok, yea I believe it is a DoA board; was it purchased from us? If so head over to Returns (contact vendor if purchased elsewhere) and we’ll get ya squared away
