Arm-gcc compiler , IAR embedded workbench debugger

Hi all,

I’m not sure if this is the right section for this topic so please move it where it suits for.

I worked until now with arm7, at the beginning with Open OCD and then I moved to IAR due to the instability and slow motion of Eclipse. I would like now to buy a board which support uClinux but I’m afraid I will face the same issues on Open OCD.

I know that uClinux cannot be compiled with IAR compiler but I’m wondering if I could use arm-gcc to compile it and IAR to debug it (??)

Nobody has tried this before?

I have also a debugger from olimex but first time when I started working with OpenOCD and AT91SAM7EX256 Eclipse was running very slowly and I seen also a lot of issues. I don’t know how stable is this IDE right now but working on linux on a bad IDE is not very pleasant.
