Anyone using ICCARM?

Hi y’all. I just started working with ARM, my previous experience has been mostly with AVR. Got the OLIMEX LPC2106 dev board from SFE (You guys are great!) and the ARM-JTAG. Currently, I have found two software solutions in my budget: GNU-GCC and ICCARM.

THANK YOU to Mr. Lynch for the great tutorial! I have installed the Eclipse, GNU_GCC etc according to the tutorial (My first experience with GCC). However, I still am interested in a low cost commercial IDE with support, upgrades, App Builder, etc. I’m trying out the DEMO now, but the transition from AVR to ARM has been interesting…

So, anyone using ICCARM? If so, what do you think? What debugging solution are you using?

Thanks,

Daniel.

Oh GOODY! More advertising!

I edited the post so maybye it is not offensive(?) to anyone. I am a newbie with NO affiliation with the company.

I still would like to know if anyone is using ICCARM then what software are you using for debug support. Specifically, can the dwarf/elf output from ICCARM be used with the Macraigor or OpenOCD and Eclipse for debugging?

Thanks for any input on this.

Sorry. Not OFFENSIVE, really. I was just grumpy last night, and was seeing spam where there was none. Apologies
