Artemis Blackboard Nano limited functionality can't use Sparkfun bootloader

Good day the forum. In October 2018 I purchased a blackboard Artemis nano. It was a number of months before I could work with it as I was retiring and moving countries (now in Canada).

I have spent the past several weeks trying to get various examples to work with this board. So far the only one that works reliably is the blink example.

I can get no serial window response from the board although it is open in Arduino. The Arduino version is the 1.8.10 and I am working the current (as of Jan. 26, 2020) board definitions.

I can only upload code using the Ambiq secure bootloader and cannot use the Sparkfun Variable Loader.

Help?

Can this board be made to work with the Sparkfun Variable loader?

I am an experienced Arduino coder and have worked with a number of boards including most of the Teensys and the Arduinos.

I have a redboarfd on order but would very much like to get working with the black board.

OK, solved. My fault in ensuring that all arduino program settings were correct prior to reburning the bootloader and then running the sparkfun variable loader. Simple fix, duh, and now every example i try appears to work well and very quickly.
