Artemis Nano Battery Power - 15443

I am using Artemis Nano and when I attach a battery to the battery terminal, the Nano does not power up. A multimeter shows voltage on the leads going into the board. I am using a 3.7 v Li-ion battery. I am running the simple blink example program from the Arduino IDE. When attached to the usb port, the program runs as expected. The board has red power led and blinking blue led. When using only battery power, neither led lights up. I feel like I am missing something simple but fail to find it in any documentation.

In the course of testing, I pushed a little harder with my multimeter probe and found out that the positive terminal on the battery connector was not soldered to the nano board. I just completed the soldering and it works as expected. Maybe my experience will help someone else.
