Hello, I have been trying to use the Artemis Openlog, but for some reason, everything, such as the time and analog numbers, is set back to default, when I press the power on and off button while not connected to the computer. I am trying to bring my device and use it outside the house, so to conserve battery, I try to turn on the device at the field, but after multiple attempts I have realized that when I turn it on at the site, all of my settings are reverted to default. When it is connected to the computer, however, there is no problem, so does anyone know what I can do to fix this?
There is no power on / off button on the openlog artemis. What are you pressing?
Did you read the hookup guide that explains what pressing the reset button does when you don’t have a battery attached?
Also having the same issue here. Every time when power is disconnected from the OLA, the RTC resets itself and I need to manually set the RTC time and date again. Is there any way to avoid this?
Hi picodots,
The OLA RTC will reset if you remove the power without first putting the Artemis into deep sleep. Please see this section of the hookup guide - especially the section on “Stop Logging and Reset Buttons”:

I hope this helps,
