AS7262 - Power LED flashes multiple times on start

This project requires 2X AS7262 and 2X AS7263 sensors. They are connected to the ESP via a MUX and everyting is working with the exception of 1 of the AS7262.

I have been directed here to ask the question first.
One of the AS7262 is displaying the blue power LED, flashing several times and then turning it off. To ensure it was not the I2C line or Power I swapped it out for the other sensor and it works fine leading me to beleive that the device itself is faulty.

Upon examination it appears that the AS7262 chip itself is on a angle and was not placed correctly before being soldered. The other 3 units are perfectly square.

However saying that I am also not going to disscount other possibilities! so if anyone has any thoughts or ideas I would like to hear from them as this project is schduled for deployment down in Antartica mid September.

Cheers for any thoughts on this.

The legs look like they are making contact, but since the other one is working fine and this one isn’t I suspect it does have some kind of fault/defect

Was it purchased from us? If so head over to Return Policy - SparkFun Electronics (contact vendor if purchased elsewhere) and we’ll get ya squared away

Thanks, Yes. the replacement is on its way. I also placed an additional order for the
Both NIR sensors and the other VIS are working a treat and coupled with the VEML7700 that I use to adjust the Triad Spectroscopy Sensor.
