AT91sam with H-JTAG

Hi falks!

Does anybody here who had experiance to use H-JTAG server with AT91san7s64?

If yes , then pls help me.

I can not detect the chip with H-JTAG at all.

My procedure is as following step.

  1. At first, internal flash is erased with ERASE pin asserted to high(It is the first time chip manipulation after being shipped by company).

2)I connect the Jtag port of development board with Wiggler’s Jtag(maclaigor) pins.

  1. Open up the Hjtag server and set the JTAG setting to wiggler(predefined), nTRST check box selected.

  2. try to detect the board .

But not detected.

Pls enlighten me on this issue if am lacking some step in above procedure.

Also let me know that : Is it necessary to assert JTAGSEL pin to high for connecting with AT91SAM?

Hi,

if you are using the Wiggler-Adapter from Olimex (like me) please attend the following settings for H-JTAG 0.60 :

Using this settings I have contact with all my ARM7-boards.

Now H-jtag server can detect my eveluation kit but Flash loader can NOT.

Do you have any idea about the message: “Can’t open the specified init script”

Where to deal with to fix this prob.

Which revision of H-JTAG are you using?

Version V0.6.0 comes with a user manual document and example 1 in the chapter 4 FLASH programming section gives a step by step example of how to set up FLASH programming for the ATISAM7 series. Since your ATISAM7S64 is one of the pre-configured chips, you should not need to specify an init script. If you have specified an init script anyway, it should be in the directory where you installed H-JTAG.

By default no init script is specified. Since you are getting the “Can’t open the specified init script” H-JTAG is looking for an init script that apparently does not exist. In the H-FLASHER wizard, when you selected the Atmel AT91SAM7S64 in Step 1, the correct FLASH configuration was configured. When you selected your AT91SAM7S64 it also should have made the init script unnecessary and uneditable, so that H-FLASHER would not search for a init script before flashing your part. So somehow you have apparently configured H-FLASHER to search for an init script that it does not need. Maybe you can just go through the wizard again to create the correct configuration for your AT91SAM7S64 and then save the .HFC file so that you do not have to run the wizard again for your part?

Already got solved,

i had to configure the H-JTAG server for “script” menu.

Here i have unchecked the “auto script” option.

I have tried using H-Flasher,but it returns a timeout error.

Also the hJtag server shows the id as 0x3f0f0f0f…i believe this is a default that is visible…

I am unable to check the device that I have,and the board that I have used is a custom built board by me,and also the wiggler is custom made.

Is there a basic hardware configuration for the sam7s64 part…that I am not respecting?

hi all

i have this problem firs but now i have another problem with h-jtag when i click check box to identify flash and target appear this error : “flash id dose not mach. please make sure that the right flash device is selected.” i sure that i selected correct chip in step1 and i can program my board with usb and it work well

i dont have any problem with olimex board and h-jtag but i designed my own board it work with usb but doesn’t work with h-flasher

(h-jtag detect target but no flash)please help me!
