ATTiny Programmer 11801 Arduino IDE - No Port

Previously the ATTiny Programmer worked fine using the Arduino IDE. Now with the ATTiny Programmer plugged into a Win-10 USB port and the Ardino IDE set to Board: ATTiny…85, Processor: ATtiny85, Clock: Internal 1MHz and Programmer: USBtinyISP, the “Port” entry is grayed out.

I reinstalled the device driver per the web sit and the WIN-10 Device Manager shows libusb-win32 devices with USBtiny.

I have the same situation on my laptop as with my desktop.

– Why is the Port selection in the IDE’s Tools panel grayed out?

– What needs to be done?

Hi gmdolan.

The Tiny Programmer doesn’t have a port, you select it in Arduino under Tools/Programmer. The [hookup guide has more information on this if you haven’t seen that yet.](Tiny AVR Programmer Hookup Guide - SparkFun Learn)
