Atto84 Arduino Boards confict with Arduino IDE

It appears the latest Sparkfun Arduino Boards doesn’t have the Atto84 support.

The old Sparkfun Arduino Boards doesn’t work and conflicts with the latest v1.8.9 IDE.

Hi hiduino,

Since the Atto84 is a SparkX product, the scope of SparkFun Technical Support here is very limited. It looks like the newer versions of the Arduino IDE have broken something with the board definitions and to use the SparkFun Atto84 board definition you will need to use an older version of Arduino. Also, the standard SparkFun Arduino Boards definitions will almost certainly not include any SparkX products (with the exception being the Artemis line) so using them is not going to work.

I tested the board definitions on the same version of the IDE used in the [Hookup Guide and that works just fine so the quickest and easiest solution here would be to revert to Arduino v1.8.5 for this board. You could try posting an issue on the [GitHub Repository for the Atto84 and that will ping the SparkX team about this issue.

I hope this helps you troubleshoot the issue and gives you some options to work around it.](GitHub - sparkfunX/Atto84: DIP package Arduino compatible controller with micronucleus)](https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/atto84-hookup-guide#installing-the-board-package)
