authentication for connection between RN42 and BT module

Hello everyone. Please!!Urgent help is needed.

I am doing a project of connecting RN42 to a BT module （Embeded in Nonin 4100 Oximeter）．RN42 is set as a master and is expected too perform a page to BT module．

The BT module has the following properties:

  1. pin code：6 digit

  2. Without user interface: therefore, it is not possible to type in pin code in the server(Master:ＲＮ４２)

  3. SPP profile

  4. Slave mode

My question is about the reason for the failure of the connection：

  1. I am wondering if the pin code set in RN42 has to be matched with pin code of BT module. If so, I am wonder if there is a way to change the length of pin code for RN42.

  2. When slave BT module connects to PC or phone, during authentication process, pin code could be inputted into PC and send back to BT module. I am wondering if there is a command for RN42 to send the pin code to slave and so make the connection successful.
