BatchPCB design differences from supplier Gold pheonix?

Does BatchPCB have a special deal with GP? the reason I ask, is that after looking at BatchPCB’s design limits, which they quote is from the manufacturer, they don’t match up with what GoldPhoenix is able to make. AS an example, BatchPCB says they can only accept holes that are 0.5mm for a 2 layer board, but Gold Phoenix can take down to 0.15 or 0.2mm. Batch PCB offers the cheapest service by far, but I am unable to run a design through them that uses 0.3mm holes for vias. If i went with some place like PCBcart or others it would end up costing me around 100$ or so for even 2 boards, as they charge almost 75$ for tooling fees.

I tried to submit my design through the DRC bot but it failed due to the via drill size.

Thanks.

Well obviously they have a special deal, but how far that extends outside of small batches of boards, well I’m not going to guess.

Ever consider the differences are simply because with GP you only mess up your boards, with BatchPCB you mess up everyone’s boards. For the drill size differences, it does cost money to change drill bits, there has to be a limit of sorts.

These are the guidelines that we had set by GP’s for proto-panel production. The guidelines we use may not be similar to their specifications for regular orders for customers. If you have any other questions please send us an email at support@batchpcb.com
