BGB203 (WRL-08469) No useful data

Hello

I just bought a WRL-08469 to make a small serial link.

I powered it up with 3,3v and put a wire between cts-rts and tx-rx to see som data on my mac.

After some time i get echo’s with xon/xoff off, no hardware handshaking, and 9600 8n1 with ZTerm.

The i try to hook my ftdi chip (from my parallax boe-board with some weird wirering…) and looped tx-rx there aswell. it reply’s with 9600 8n1 aswell.

then i try to hook the 2 up, (tx-rx and rx-tx) but i get nothing usable.

Holding down j on the bluetooth module shows up as %'s on the ftdi…

Holding down s on the ftdi shows up as @L on the bluetooth unit…

so i wanted to configure it

I connected via bluetooth (with tx and rx looped, the same with cts and rts) and typed +++. Guess what? it disconnected!

So… can’t talk to it wired, and can’t conf it wireless…

Any ideas? (BTW, the ftdi on the BOE may not be oh so great…).

Just a note: TX is high all the time on the bluetooth module (my led on it doesn’t flash, not even with the loopback connection, but low by default on the ftdi…

Oh yeah, can this bluetooth module survive 5v? (i don’t know the max of the 2 regulators…)

Hope anyone can help me with the bluetooth problem…
