Do any of the products with bluetooth support ever get firmware updates for newer functionality? Or are the products sold by SparkFun locked at that version? Eg Bluetooth 5.0 would not get 5.1 updates for new functionality where possible?
With the 2020 CES announcement of Bluetooth LE Audio (5.2?) with LC3 codec, is the Artemis unlikely to be able to support this feature for streaming audio?(afaik it doesn’t support Bluetooth classic/legacy a2dp either)
Since Artemis uses Apollo3 from Ambiq Micro, it seems that might be unlikely to see updates for 5.1 or new features like LE Audio?:
Apollo3 Blue is Bluetooth 5 compliant in that it supports all mandatory BLE 5 features which includes all 4.2 optional features, but does not support any of the optional BLE 5 features. 2 Mbps PHY is an optional feature in BLE 5.0, and therefore Apollo3 Blue does not support it due to hardware limitations. There are no plans to extend the features of the Apollo3 Blue’s BLE module at this time.

Are there any other products offered with such support?(I assume it depends on the vendors making such firmware updates available, but I’m not familiar if any do such)](https://support.ambiqmicro.com/hc/en-us/articles/360007212652-Q-A-Is-Apollo3-Blue-fully-Bluetooth-5-compliant-)
