BLUETOOTH + GPS

My goal is to make a GPS moving map on a Windows 10 notebook, using a battery powered ZOE-M8Q and a Bluetooth transmitter. This unit will not have any other sensors or computing needs. My concern is choosing a Bluetooth link that will output a data stream (with a minimal amount of effort) that Windows 10 will recognize as a NEMA GPS sensor.

I’m not a programmer, and must rely heavily on the work of others. Unfortunately these products are new and there is very little information on the subject. What would your choice be for the Bluetooth? I’m looking at the Thing Plus-ESP32 (WRL-14689), RedBoard Artemis Nano (DEV-15443), or Thing Plus - Artemis (WRL - 15574), but there are many other possibilities like a Bluetooth modem and a LiPo charger.

Hi oldflier,

I would probably recommend either the ESP32 Thing or Thing Plus for this but the tricky part is going to create a Bluetooth profile for Windows to recognize it as a NEMA GPS Sensor for your specific project. Unfortunately, we do not have any guides for that exact application but there may be some user-created guides for the ESP32 out there. Two good places to start would be either the [ESP32 Community Forums or a tutorials site like [Instructables. I hope this helps!](https://www.instructables.com/)](ESP32 Forum - Discussion Forum)
