"Breakout Board for FT245RL USB to FIFO" question

(I’m a beginner) I have a question regarding the FT245RL Breakout Board:

If I use a PIC processor that I power with 3.3 V can I then directly connect

the PIC to the RX/TX pins? Do I have to supply the FT245RL with 3.3V? What

is with the VUSB pin? Do I have to supply voltage here also? Is there a

shematic that describes how to interface a FT245RL Breakout Board with

a pic on a breadboard??

– Greetings

The breakout board as delivered is powered by the usb cable, so no additional power is required. You only have to hook up TX, RX, and GND. As delivered, the TX/RX pins run at 3.3 volts but you can change this to 5V by removing a solder joint and installing a wire.

EDIT: oops, I misread your post. I was referring to the FT232RL not the 245. I’m not sure if the info I gave applies to your board.
