can any bluetooth module be used with the RF-BT-SMD?

Hi - I was looking at the RF-BT-SMD - can anybody tell me if it is compatible with any USB bluetooth device? thanks.

I’d like to know the same thing…specifically, if the IOGear Model # GBU311 which is a Class 1 Bluetooth v1.2 device. I know this device supports the Serial Port BT profile; but is the Serial Port BT profile all the Blue Radio parts require to “talk”? (I presume so).

Hi,

All Bluetooth devices are inter-operable for 99% of what we cover on SFE and the forum.

Yep - any off the shelf USB dongle will work with the SMD/Blueradio jobbers.
