CAN-BUS Shield - 2003 Silverado (J1850)

Hello All,

Can anyone confirm if the CAN-BUS Shield (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/13262) will read the bus (via the ODBII port) on my 2003 Silverado. For what I can tell the truck is using the J1850 VPW protocol. The only thing I see on the site that references J1850 is the SparkFun OBD-II UART (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/9555), not sure if this is better option.

You might be able to get someone to confirm this on an OBD-centric forum; it might be able to be read if you wired the pins as so https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/ge … -protocols …but I would strongly recommend just getting the OBD-II board instead and being certain :slight_smile:
