Can’t get RTCM over LoRa with two torches

Two new torches, both updated to RTK everywhere v3.1, LoRa v2.0.2, and UM980 v17548, then factory reset. LoRa radios enabled and coordination frequency left to the default of 910. Lora debug messages enabled. One unit set to base and another to rover. I only see debug messages on the base unit saying it is transmitting rtcm message via Lora. On the rover I never see any Lora debug messages, and under corrections sources the Lora radio source never shows as active.

I’ve tried many factory resets and swapping the base and rover units around but still no luck.

At a loss for what to try next…

Darn. Can you get either to function as standalone units?

It might be worth updating all of the hardware firmware too, see Updating UM980 Firmware - SparkFun RTK Everywhere Product Manual (click the ToC on the left to see the ESP32 one, also note the STM32 as well!)

They work fine in standalone mode, and in fact they were taking over Lora fine before I updated. They had v0.5 Lora firmware or something else really low, so I updated. I have already updated the stm32 firmware to the latest version as well.

Thanks for reporting! We’ll have a look. For now, you may want to try reverting to ESP32 firmware v2.3 until we figure out what broke.

Downgrading the Esp32 firmware worked, thank you.
