Cannot connect to Mosiac X5 Base Station over USB

Hello, I am trying to setup a Mosiac X5 as a base station and cannot connect to the device through USB. I have installed the driver that was included with the device and am trying to connect through Chrome at 192.168.3.1. I am getting an Unreachable Address error.

Does the device need to be configured through a serial terminal prior to connecting through USB?

Thank You,

Sean

Hi Sean (@Sean512 ),

This is strange. Usually the X5 Ethernet-over-USB connection is easy to use.

Please tell us which X5 product / board you are using. We have several.

Do you know what version of firmware the X5 is running?

Are you able to connect to the X5 using RxTools over any of the other ports? Is it just Ethernet-over-USB which is not working?

Please check your computer is not already using a 192.168.3.n network address. If your router (DHCP server) is using 192.168.3.n addresses, for WiFi or Ethernet, the X5 won’t be able to communicate.

I hope this helps,
Paul

Paul,

It’s a RTK Mosaic-X5 reference station with the Septentrio chip. F/W version 4.14.4.

I can connect to the receiver’s hosted config page through the network IP address (my router is using 192.168.0.n), but not through the 192.168.3.n address for Ethernet over USB. RxTools also connects to the 192.168.0.n address.

So I’ve been able to configure and log almost everything I need through the receiver’s interface, except for switching it from ethernet to WiFi mode. Is it possible to do this through either the receiver interface or RxTools, or can this only be done through the serial interface with the ESP32?

Thanks,

Sean
