Cheap, efficient and easy to use color LCD with touchscreen

Hello,

I’m looking for a cheap, easy to use LCD with touchscreen and backlight.

After looking at your CFAX LCD and carrier board, I looked directly at Crystal fonts for a better match and found this one :

This is a 2.4" 240x320 graphic color TFT LCD, with embedded controller (Orise Tech SPFD5408B which is compatible with Microchip Graphical stack … that makes it even simpler to use), with touchscreen (4 wires) and LED Backlight (with embedded driver …). Interface voltage can be 3.3V.

It’s easy to solder (demonstration for hand soldering in Crystal Fonts forum), and moreover it is very cheap … price for one unit at Crystal Fonts is $30.74 and falls to $9.10 for 1000 units !

I will try, when I have time, to design a motherboard for a PIC32MX440F512H with integrated battery, battery charger, fuel gauge, this LCD and additionnal connections and features (maybe an ITG-3200 and a 3 axis accel.).

That would be awesome if I can buy everything from SparkFun …

I have seen LCD-08624 Active Matrix OLED 2.83" with Touchscreen on this portal . Its features sounds fantastic at very reasonable prices but because of my lower budget I am trying to find related product which will set in my budget.

LCD-08624 is more than 6 times more expensive than the one I’m proposing …

LCD-08624 Active Matrix OLED 2.83" with Touchscreen by far i think is the best option available. If you are looking for a color LCD then go for this.
