Cheap WiFi module - passing on info on a good one <$60

Ive spent the best part of a month looking for a cheap WiFi module for a medical project im doing at work. And noone seems to have mentioned this one on here…just passing it on in a good karma kinda way

Both of these are $60 on Mouser and £40 from Farnell here in the UK.

Both are a simple serial interface. Ive got the Secure Socket iWiFi dev kit here at work and its sooo simple to configure.

p.s. have no relationship with ConnectOne…just a happy user of it!

I’ve been working with these - mated to a low cost ARM7 (NXP2103) and using IAR’s C for the applications. I’ve used Atmel mega’s for a long time, but I must say that the ARM7’s are way more sophisticated and don’t cost a lot more. But use more power unless you are careful about doing sleeps.

positive things to say.

Those look pretty handy. Do you know roughly how much current they draw when operating?
