I want to use SparkFun FT231X Breakout to communicate with Arduino MEGA 2560 pro mini.
As description of the SparkFun FT231X Breakout says TX/RX pins use 3.3V https://www.sparkfun.com/products/13263.
As I understand Arduino MEGA 2560 pro mini uses 5V TX/RX voltage. E.g. this one https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32804483834.html
Are the two compatible?

Is the SparkFun FT231X Breakout recognized by Windows 10 “out of the box” by native drivers?
In case of CH340 I need to install driver.
It depends on your version of Windows 10. Some versions/builds pick it up right away and install the needed driver automatically, others require you to run the [driver installer.](https://www.ftdichip.com/Drivers/CDM/CDM21228_Setup.zip)

Do you use “genuine” FTDI chips in FT231X?
Just to make sure that I won’t encounter a protection implemented in Windows drivers.
Yes, we source our FTDI chips from reputable wholesalers that buy them directly from FTDI.
