composite video with arduino successfull :-)

hi there,

my first posting here. i am a total newbie in microprocessor and so i got this arduino duemillanove to learn the first steps. my ultimate goal is to create a color composite video signal. with the duemillanove i was able to bring up a B/W signal. i did this nice little PONG game with the library from mdmetzle http://code.google.com/p/arduino-tvout/ and it worked perfect. have a look at this forum here: http://www.arduino.cc/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaB … 87659197/0

i also started with the first version and the video signal genrated was ok but the content was very limited.

my pong game on the tube: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y9ZoohIgEjU

so, i want to do the next step and use a atmega128 to generate better grafics and maybe if possible a color signal? i know i need two crystals for this? did anyone ever experimented with this kind of stuff and is willing to share his experiences? it doen’t have to be an arduino and i already ordered a atmega128 board which i can program via JTAG. i wonder what is possible regarding video signal with an atmega128. tips are greatly apprechiated

Congratulations. That’s a complex project!

Learned a lot, I’ll bet.
