I want to use the Musical Instrument shield as a separate component connected to a Teensy 2++ What voltage is the shield?, I assume 5v, and should I connect input power of 5v from the teensy to VCC or 5V in? I assume the only other pins I need are Midi in, Reset and Ground. I am doing this because I need the extra pins to drive 7 switches in and 7 rows of neopixels and a few other bits. Not enough pins on an Uno and maybe not enough memory.
