Hi,
I purchased the Alchitry Au kit from SparkFun. The boards have four connectors referred to a Banks A, B, C, D. They look like a standard connector for which I should be able to buy some type of ribbon connector cable. I this true? How do I specify the cables that fit these connectors. It seems like it is obvious to the experienced user, but I am a novice.
Thanks Oldman95
Thanks for reaching out to us on this.
Are you referring to these? https://www.sparkfun.com/products/16581 These are for breaking out the signals into a standard jumper wire size, so that you might wire the board stack to a traditional style device
The white connectors are used to stack the boards, as shown in this photo https://alchitry.com/collections/all/pr … off-screws - then you can solder the black female headers to the breakout board to manage the IO signals however you’d like.
Hope this helps, and happy sparking!
I understand how the connectors work now. Thank you! What is the connector called so I can make my own board to stack to the Alchitry Au?
I don’t know if they have a name but we carry the male and female versions on the website.
