Converting Gerber files to HPGL (PLT)

Hello,

There is a nice and cheap way of making stencils for a solder on a laser engraving machine.

In order to achieve this I need a Plotter HPGL file (.plt). There is ULP program that exports schematics to a HPGL file, but I need to export a PCB Layer to a HPGL file. I don’t know Eagle that good to make ULP scripts.

Anyway, there are HPGL → Gerber converters online, but I couldn’t find the one that will do Gerber → HPGL.

So, do you know about any software that could help me? I would really like to try this method…

Oh my, CAM Processor supports HPGL exporting. It is all solved :smiley:

In the Eagle board editor, hit the CAM Processor button. You can select HPGL (and them some) under the Device combo box. I don’t know if it works correctly or not (I’ve never tried it), but try it and see.
