Copper text on top layer

Hi, Please have a look at the attached image. I want to have copper text for certain components on my board. I don’t want copper of the polygon/ground “plane” to come in between or corners of the letters. I want a neat box in which the copper text can fit. When I use the text font as “Proportional”, then I get the look as I wanted. But when I use the font as “Vector” then the ground copper is coming near to the letters. I used “tRestrict” signal around the text and I see the tRestrict signal as well around the text.

Please suggest a way of using copper text on the board that looks good.

Thanks,

Sanjeev

I used “tRestrict” signal around the text and I see the tRestrict signal as well around the text.

This is the way to do it. While the tRestrict layer shows up in your editor window, you would not normally export it to gerber files or print it (just turn off the layer in the "layers" panel), so it doesn't show up on the final board.

Thank you.
