Cover for a zx sensor

Hi, I’d like to cover a zx sensor (https://www.sparkfun.com/products/13162).

I’ve tried acrylic and thin polycarbonate sheet but both seem to block/reflect enough IR to ruin the measurements.

Any recommendations?
