Creating and Connecting to ThingSpeak using the Datalogger IOT 9Dof

I am new at using ThingSpeak and am trying to follow the getting started writeup. I am confused regarding the ThingSpeak Configuration section on the Certificate File.

“You can download the cert file for ThingSpeak.com page using a web-browser. Click on the security details of this page, and navigate the dialog (browser dependent) to download the certificate. The downloaded file is the made available for the DataLogger IoT to use as a file that is loaded at runtime)”

What is this telling me when it says to click on the security details on this page?? What page is this relating to? I don’t see anything mentioning security details or any kind of link. Can someone please explain?

It depends on the browser, but here’s how I did it on mine: Go to https://thingspeak.com/

Click on the “lock” (padlock) icon in the address bar, then click the 2nd padlock button (‘connection is secure’ on mine), and mine then says ‘certificate is valid’…click that, and a pop-up appears…click details. The main site should be pre-selected, click export and you should be good to go!
