I’ve tried similar strategies but always thought that because it failed the DRC in Eagle it certainly wouldn’t pass the Batch PCB bot. I’ll try you DC power jack on my next board and see how it comes out. I tried drawing a pad from scratch using the polygon command and the pad layer but when I place the component in a board I get a “Layer abuseâ€

Jed, Not necessarily true. Both systems are there to stop silly mistakes, or more subtle ones that ruin a design. It’s okay to submit an EAGLE design that has failed DRC (in EAGLE) if it’s known what tripped the DRC error.
