Daisy chaining endpoints

Since the midpoint is currently not available and I have a bunch of endpoints, I’m wondering if I can use two endpoints, tied together via their qwiic connectors, as a midpoint. So, four endpoints in all: One at the controller, two in the middle, and a fourth at the far end.

Alternatively, since the midpoint is nothing more than a single differential converter connected to two RJ45 connectors, can I use a single endpoint in the middle with a T tap on the Ethernet cable?
