Multiple QwiicBus midpoints issue

Have been using an Endpoint - Midpoint - Endpoint alternate 2 set up successfully for a while now. Am in need of another node, so added another Midpoint where previously the end Endpoint was located. The Endpoint - Midpoint - Midpoint set up works as before with the same connected devices (Mega and a PCA9685). As soon as I connect the end Endpoint to the newly inserted (second) Midpoint, the power light on the second Midpoint seems dimmer and the whole chain stops working. I have configured the second Midpoint in the same manner as the first one; Bypass open and PSEL to 2. I measure 2.1V at the second Midpoint between GND and 3V3. 3.3V at the first Midpoint. 4.9V at the end Endpoint. I added 5V to both VCC and VCC1. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
